The non-profit organization Recovery International (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website RecoveryInternational.org. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our site or uses our services. We understand that people who come to us may be seeking support around sensitive personal matters, and we take that trust seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over your information.

When we ask you to provide personal information — for example, when you make a donation, become a member, sign up for a mailing list, make a purchase, or register for an account — we will make clear at that point what information we are asking for and why. Recovery International does not sell or share your personal information. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, and may extend that period by up to an additional 45 days where permitted, notifying you if we do so.
For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, we process your personal information under one or more lawful bases: your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests as a nonprofit organization, or compliance with a legal obligation. You have the rights listed above, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If we transfer your information outside your country, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection as required by applicable law.
Children’s information
Protecting children online is important to us. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, monitor, and guide their children’s online activity. Recovery International does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to promptly remove that information from our records.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Materials offered on this website are intended for personal use by individuals practicing the RI method, attending authorized meetings led by RI certified leaders. They may not be used in a group setting by others. If you are interested in licensing the rights for use in a public program or clinical setting, please contact us for information about our Presenter or Affiliate programs.

Conflict Resolution
This form is to be used to make complaints regarding meetings or to express dissatisfaction with the way you or others were treated. If the situation occurred in a group meeting, we encourage you to talk with your meeting leader or area leader first, to see if talking about the situation with civility can bring resolution. Talking with program staff may also be helpful.
If you have already talked with your group leader, area leader, and/or program staff and still wish to file a written complaint, please complete this form and click “submit” at the end. Forms will be sent to the CEO and you will be contacted within a week of your submission.
In most instances, conflicts and complaints with others can be resolved effectively through improved communication and/or education among the parties involved.

Recovery International Podcast Policy
The podcasts that people create to share stories of their own mental health journeys can be powerful tools to benefit others. These broadcasts can help break the stigma associated with mental health challenges and help others know they are not alone. Recovery International embraces the use of all technologies as appropriate to support others in achieving better mental health.
